Our Lisboa ovens crack a lot less than a typical clay brick oven. However since some degree of cracking is still possible each Lisboa comes with our unique Ultrafire repair kit.
Each oven comes with a pail of specially formulated high heat mortar and a brush. First coat has to be applied to cracks only when the oven is hot and then final skim coat on entire oven.
You can put 2 15" pies at the same time into the oven!
...and bake 50 of them in an hour!
Our ovens gets up to 900F!
You will see the bricks on the inside turning white - this means time to cook!
Fire the oven slowly, let it take its time!
It should take 1.5 hours for the oven to rise to pizza baking temperature
Our brick oven works on hardwood!
Use well seasoned, dry oak, maple, or cherry for best results. Do not use spruce or 2x4s! No liquids
Use heat when you need it.
Use highest heat for pizza and subsequent lower T for bread and other dishes. Wrap apples in foil and see the oven do magic!
Do not overheat!
Remember that fire starts slowly, do not overfeed your oven with wood only to end up with an unmanageable fire later.
Our brick ovens are heavy and can only be shipped on freight trucks. If your address is a residence or a business without dock or forklift the truck will be equipped with tailgate to unload the oven onto ground level. Delivery is normally to driveway or curbside, someone needs to be home to sign for the oven but no one needs to assist the driver. If your address is a residence the freight company will call you ahead of time to schedule a delivery appointment. If you notice any damage upon arrival please note the damage on the bill of lading before signing it and please contact us ASAP. However damage to our oven is extremely rare.
If you are picking up from our US or Canadian warehouses the ideal vehicle is a pick up truck or a dock level truck. The brick oven will not fit into any SUV or minivan.
